How Big Is a 10-Yard Dumpster?
Why Is It Called a 10-Yard Dumpster?
A 10-yard dumpster is called such because it has a volume of 10 cubic yards. A cubic yard is an industry-standard unit of measurement that is equal to 3 feet x 3 feet x 3 feet, or 27 cubic feet. This means that a 10 cubic yard dumpster is equal to 270 cubic feet, or 3 x 3 x 3 x 10.
Similarly, it is called a 20-yard dumpster because its volume is 20 cubic yards or 3 x 3 x 3 x 20 = 540 cubic feet.
A 30-yard dumpster is called that because its volume is 30 cubic yards or 3 x 3 x 3 x 30 = 810 cubic feet.
A 40-cubic yard dumpster is called that because its volume is 40 cubic yards or x 3 x 3 x 40 =1080 cubic feet.
How Much Does a 10-Yard Dumpster Cost?

How to Service a 10-Yard Dumpster
When choosing a location for your 10-yard dumpster rental:
Be sure to choose an area that is clear of pedestrians, vehicle traffic, and walkways if you can help it. This will ease your project by not having to avoid and potentially endanger anyone during the disposal process while also saving you time.
Make sure there is substantial space available for the 10-yard roll-off dumpster drop-off that is free of obstructions such as wires and low-hanging branches.
Prepping for dumpster pickup:
When your project is finished and the time comes for the dumpster to be picked up, ensure that the top of the dumpster is evened out such as making sure there are no objects sticking out of the container.
Be sure to not exceed the maximum weight limit allowed.
Dumpster service day:
On the day of your dumpster servicing and pick up, be sure to clear out the way for your 10-yard dumpster pickup such as moving parked cars.
Ensure the driver has access to your location by unlocking gates and providing access to your location and we’ll take care of the rest.
